Mayfest, winner of the Louey Award for 2012 Festival of the Year, is an annual event held in historic downtown Leesville on the first weekend in May -- in 2014 it will be May 2-3rd. Bring your lawn chairs and join us on the courthouse lawn for two free days of family fun offering live music, vendors, demonstrating artists, children's activities, and more.

Rotary Club's Chalk-A-Block
Children can share their art with the world at Mayfest's Chalk-A-Block. Chose your spot and paint your masterpiece with a variety of colored chalks.

Armadillo Stampede
AUSA will sponsor their 30th Annual Armadillo Stampede on May 3rd at 8:00 am. There will be a 5K Fun Run/Walk for Individuals and a Super Squad 5K for a seven person team. All races are open to male and female runners and will begin in front of Oak Pointe Wellness Center in Downtown Leesville. Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in several age groups. Armadillo Stampede

U.S. Army Static Display
Fort Polk will have a static display featuring a variety of weapons that kids of all ages will be able to check out on Saturday, May 3rd.

Leesville Lions Club Pancake Breakfast
Beginning at 7:00 am on Saturday May 4th, the Leesville Lions Club will be serving their annual Pancake Breakfast as part of the Mayfest fun. Start your day off right with a great meal which includes a short stack (6) of pancakes with your choice of bacon or sausage and juice or milk. Later in the day, they will be serving crawfish with all the fixin's. For more information, please call (337) 238-0783.

Shop the Leesville Main Street District
Many of the Leesville Main Street merchants will be open for business during Mayfest.

Classic Car Window Displays

While you're downtown, stroll past the old Cain Motor Company (corner of Lee & 4th St.) and the old Boudreaux's Chevrolet (corner of North and 3rd) and look through the windows to see displays of classic vehicles and more.
