Ballagh Home

The main part of the Ballagh home was built around 1915 by the Pughs, a prominent lumber family in DeRidder, Louisiana. The Pughs were civic leaders in Beauregard Parish. One member served as the first mayor of DeRidder from 1922-1926. Mel Harris of Leesville, Louisiana purchased the Pugh home in 1991 and moved it to its current location. Several renovations have taken place since then.

" Ballagh Home "

Today, the home is owned by Millie and David Ballagh who have filled it with antique pieces that have been passed down through several generations of their families. The 100 year old oak floors and the guest bathroom with an antique tub are just a few of the must-see features of this home.

The Ballagh Home is one of the featured homes in the 2010 Leesville Tour of Homes. It is located at 219 Oak Street in Leesville, Louisiana.
