Anacoco Lake
Anacoco Lake is a man-made lake covering more than 2000 acres. Located west of Leesville, the lake was created in 1951 when a dam was built across Anacoco Bayou.

Lake Vernon
Considered a "quality" lake by the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and
Fisheries, Vernon Lake is stocked annually with 100,000 Florida largemouth bass.
It was created in 1963 when a second dam was built across Anacoco Bayou.

Sabine River / Toro Bayou
The Sabine River and Toro Bayou offer excellent opportunities for canoers. If you have your own
boat, you can easily put in at Hadden's Ferry, the Burr Ferry
Bridge, or Riverbend Canoe Rentals. Tack-A-Paw Expeditions has canoes for rent, and they'll even make arrangements to pick you up at your destination.
They have several plans to suit your needs - some longer, some shorter; some easier, some harder. Leave your vehicle at Riverbend Canoe Rentals and they'll take you upriver and drop you off, leaving you to paddle back to their office using one of their rental canoes or your own canoe or kayak.

Toledo Bend Reservoir
Constructed on the Sabine River, Toledo Bend Lake is the largest man-made lake in the south and fifth largest in surface area in the
United States. Financed equally by Louisiana and Texas, the reservoir was built to supply water, electricity, and recreation. Governed by the Sabine River Authority, the lake is a
favorite of bass fishermen.
