Museum of West Louisiana
The Museum of West Louisiana houses a multitude of artifacts demonstrating early life in Vernon Parish, LA.

Gallery One Ellleven
Gallery One Ellleven is the center for arts in Vernon Parish. The gallery hosts a new show each month by members and/or friends of members.

Fort Polk Military Museum
Fort Polk Military Museum is currently closed while it is being moved to a new building. However, Warrior Memorial Park on Louisiana Ave. remains open and is open to the public 24 hours per day.

Vernon Parish Veteran’s Memorial
The Vernon Parish Veteran's Memorial Plaza is located on 3rd Street across from the Leesville Post Office.

Vanishing Vernon
See images of old homes that are disappearing from our landscape. These proud homes once sheltered our ancestors, but only a few are still around. 

Talbert-Pierson Cemetery
The Talbert-Pierson Cemetery is located on Hwy 277 at Cravens, next to Pine Grove Methodist Church. This cemetery contains some unusual wooden grave houses. Traditionally, covered graves were often used to protect the deceased from hungry animals. Although modern burial practices have made this unnecessary, some families continue the tradition today.
