Vernon Parish -- the Heart of Sportsman's Paradise. There's lots of room for outdoor lovers of all kinds. With four Wildlife Management Areas to choose from, hunters and trappers have lots of choices in Vernon Parish.

Both Anacoco and Vernon Lakes, as well as many other smaller lakes and streams, such as the Sabine River, Fullerton Lake, and Anacoco Creek, offer many options for fishermen.
